The Criterion Deepdive database is a hypothetical premium version of the Criterion streaming platform. Have you ever wondered how movies connect? Or if movies are referencing each other? The goal of this project is to conceptualize what that would look like. The Criterion collection is a distribution brand for famous, influential, and artistic films. The deepdive database allows you to watch films, and see connections in real time. It allows you to see a web of connections between different scenes, directors, actors, etc… Using Criterion's existing branding, I expanded it and created mockups for what the service would look like, alongside products such as guidebooks, and the database functionality.
